In this Election season there is a strange situation that i am observing. Christians are saying we should not vote for a candidate because of his religion. What has happened to our country? In 1960 there was the same situation, a young Senator from Massachusetts was running for President. People had a fit because he was Catholic, but common sense prevailed. America was founded on religious liberty. A land where you could come and worship as you wished for what you believed and not be penalized for it. Mitt Romney is a Mormon. That does not disqualify him for any office. For business we can not discriminate for religion yet that is what people who refuse to vote for him is doing. I really had not idea that Christians were this bigoted and prejudiced against anyone that were not in their little circle of belief. Going to the bible they justify it by using the verses about there being false Jesus preached and protecting the flock well that has nothing to do with the office of President, it is a secular office. There are criteria, must be 40, must be born in US and live here for 14 years prior to election but that is it! Not must be Baptist or Church of God. He can be atheist if he wants to be. We should judge him or her on what the candidate brings to the table for ideas. One last point as far as the terror over the false teachers consider this:
38 And John answered him, saying , Master, we saw one casting out devils in thy name, and he followeth not us: and we forbad him, because he followeth not us. 39 But Jesus said , Forbid him not: for there is no man which shall do a miracle in my name, that can lightly speak evil of me. 40 For he that is not against us is on our part. 41 For whosoever shall give you a cup of water to drink in my name, because ye belong to Christ, verily I say unto you, he shall not lose his reward. 42 And whosoever shall offend one of these little ones that believe in me, it is better for him that a millstone were hanged about his neck, and he were cast into the sea. To me it does not matter who preaches Jesus and why he is preached and the people hear and if he be lifted up then we have a opening instead of people thinking oh great another bible thumper, they might say I want to know this Jesus that was preached.
God bless.

  1. What a logical and rational way to think this through with so many political issues/noise thrown at us for this upcoming election. Sometimes one can get lost in the loud clamor and must shift out truth from lies. Each of us MUST seriously consider the choices presented!! There are ONLY two candidates – Romney vs Obama (NO Third and write in candidate )!!!.

    Also consider the following:
    1) Use your (biblical) moral compass/issues and consider how each candidate align with the Word of God. Let it guide your conscious to help you decide who to vote for. For example, where do the candidates stand regarding abortion, marriage, sex education, planned parenthood, and other moral issues.

    2) Consider the economy. Do more jobs equal a stronger economy or does closing tax loopholes equal a stronger economy?

    3) Consider where do you stand with Obama Care?

All the issues stated above matters since it will determine the course of actions the next leader will take this country!!!
