You don’t know what you got till its gone.

One thing as a guitar player since I was 5, I have always been proud of is my ability to hear and enjoy hearing music and sounds around me.  I always had great hearing. I played guitar by ear and when I joined the Navy I leaned on my ears to do my job.  I was a Cryptologist which I listened via headphones all day and heard lots of static all day. When I retired from Navy,  I still had perfect hearing! God really blessed me with that! As a minister, I also needed both physical/natural hearing with my ears and spiritual hearing of my heart.  God had blessed me with being a hearer in the spirit more than a seer.  I never knew how much I relied on my hearing  with my ears until I woke up one morning and could not hear well in my right ear.

On September 1, 2017, I woke up noticing a strange feeling in my right ear-felt like cotton stuck in my ear and sounded around me sounded muffled.  During the first week, I treated this myself and used over the counter sinus medications.  No improvement and my right ear still felt plugged and congested.  Julie suggested I go walk-in-clinic at the VA and get it checked out. I did.  The nursing staff could not determine what happened… and did nothing.  No improvement noted. The following week, I went to my civilian primary care doctor and he gave me allergy meds and steroids. Still no improvement and  by now my right ear continued to feel plugged and additional decreased hearing noted with speech and sounds around me.

As I was talking to my wife, Julie, I had a great thought. Duh, my wife is a Audiologist!!! She agreed to test my hearing!  I agreed since she can confirm that  all is well. So yesterday I let her do a comprehensive hearing exam.  The look on her face showed the results were not good!  As a wife, she could not treat me,  So today, I had my hearing checked by my Audiologist. He tested me two months prior and knew my previous result was normal hearing in both ears.  What I had suffered the last month was confirmed-mild to severe loss of hearing in my right ear of unknown etiology and he also had no idea how and why.  I can still hear words but reduced hearing in the high frequency range.  I was told most likely it will not return. This is not what I wanted to hear. I don’t know what this will do to my playing guitar.   From my experience, please protect your hearing, I am glad I did. I want to give a special shout out to the Audiology Department my wife works at. I am very impressed with their professionalism and how they are.

The reason why I mentioned the hearing in the natural, this also applies to how we hear in the spirit.

I moved to Texas a year ago and I am concentrating on developing the ministry God gave me and as such I am not on staff anymore as a Pastor. I admit I started slacking on reading the bible and I noticed not long ago I started not hearing God as clear as when I was working as a Pastor. I had gotten used to just hearing Gods voice not having to really work to listen.  I started noticing it quieter or better yet what I was NOT hearing.  I have always said that the natural is the manifestation of the spiritual. Now I have to ask why, what is the reason, is there a reason? I think that God will get ahold of you and get your attention whatever it takes, and I am determined to make an effort to get closer and listen to get it back.

Make sure you appreciate your hearing both spiritual and natural, you don’t know what you got till its gone.

Sep 11 2001/What did you do?

I had been in the Navy for 13 years and was a CTR stationed in Yokosuka, Japan.  I had just returned from a Direct Support mission to East Timor peacekeeping operation on USS Essex. I was looking forward to a week off after a typhoon had locked the base down and I could not leave, the the storm moved out and I was going to go sight see in Tokyo. I had just settled down watching Armageddon and after the meteors hit New York I turned off and watched the Today show it was about 11 PM and they announced a story about a plane hitting the WTC. They said a small plane hit it so I assumed a cloudy day. They went live and saw the sun and no clouds so I thought how weird. After a few minutes they showed another plane hit and said it was live and not a replay and hit the other tower.  I ran room to room in the barracks waking everyone up to watch the tv. I called home and talked to my parents up till the first tower fell and lost phone. I was so angry, I could understand the pentagon, a genuine military target, but not WTC! This was a cowardly attack and I stayed up all night watching the coverage and knowing what was to come.

The next few days were tough we were locked down in the barracks and itching to go. My commander came by to update us and getting people orders, I asked to go to help and was told to sit and wait I would have opportunities later.  Needless to say I didn’t get my time off but I did get to go help take out terrorist in the PI which in the end was much more satisfying.

Now it is 16 years later, I am retired from the Navy and from the NSA. I have seen Bin Ladin taken out, I have seen other terrorist killed. I have lost friends and colleagues in this war. What has infuriated me the most is the idiots who claim 911 was a job the government did! We did NOT attack our own people, we did NOT explode the WTC or Pentagon! Take off your tinfoil and just give it up!.

Lets not forget what happened.

Not Just Statues

Those who cannot remember the past are condemned to repeat it.

Something has been happening recently that has been breaking my heart. Ignorant people who I feel are well intentioned are taking it up on themselves to cleanse our history so as not to offend people. They forget the fact they offend the people who want to keep memorials to a long ago civil war where our families fought! It's not white supremacy I'm supporting, I hate them! Goes against everything I believe in. But the left is NOT without blame either! Taking upon theirselves to destroy monuments is what is causing the powder keg that the KKK is using to blow the country up! The white supremacist camp should have died out and in fact it almost did, till recently Black Lives Matter had the unintended result of breathing life into them again! They are full of hate and bitterness and rubbing the results of the civil war in their face is just away to add more. Just let it go and they will disappear eventually.

My family literally was brother against brother! In Maryland the battle of Antietam 5 of my great grand uncles died in the cornfield. They went to war because they were told to! It was not slavery even though I had some who owned slaves. I also had some who were slaves! In same battle I had cousins from Illinois fighting against their own cousins! It was not about States rights, it was because their new country asked them to defend their families! Both sides did the same!

After the war the federal government let the confederacy keep their pride, horses and rifles to live. No recriminations were made no one was charged for treason because no treason happened. The CSA became USA after was over! The confederate states believed if you voluntarily join you can leave! They didn't like the US they saw trying to unfairly tax and bullying them around. Like today the country I see I am ashamed of. Brother is fighting brother because of beliefs and they think if they remove the memories of the war then everything is hunky dory!

These monuments were put up on both sides to honor the leadership and men both black and white who died in those 4 years. These monuments say we will not forget my great grand fathers families who like my GGGrandady was captured in Vicksburg and survived the war. Or my GG uncle who died in Richmond!

All those who are so full of hate I ask WHY? What did they do to you? None of us alive were either slave holders or slaves so if the memorial bothers you then don't see it! You complain about the hate and fear and how your ancestors were treated .Well my family were Cherokee and they lost everything! The trail of tears was at least as bad if not worse than you complain about. Thousands dead and forcefully relocated and wars fought against them. But I don't see demands to rip down monuments to Custer or Grant and Sherman who fought there! How about Andrew Jackson and his monuments? When do we stop?

If you take down one sides memorials, then it's open season on yours! What's next burning the writings you hate? ISIS does this not America!These are not just statues they are history that you can not wipe away not without severe repercussions! So if you want civil war again for stupidity then go ahead keep insulting your brothers and sisters from the south. Keep calling them traitor and putting your boots on their neck then reconcile with

Enough is Enough

I am 53 years old, I grew up in the south. I have seen first hand racism and reverse racism. My record speaks for itself. I am anti racist of ANY color! I have dated black woman, Brown, Yellow, White and in one case a green one but that is another story. in fact I married a Asian woman! I have stood in opposition to discrimination. But what I am seeing on the web and hearing our President disrespected has to stop! I noticed many try to disrespect the President by not saying his name just 45. Or they openly accuse him of vile things that they KNOW is wrong. As a Christian we are to uphold our leaders, we are to pray for them in addition we are REQUIRED TO LOVE THEM! I heard from a female minister today who told me how much of a disgrace he is and how she prays for him to be removed. Funny, I remember being called racist for the same thing just a couple of years ago.

I know this is NOT what the Democrats wanted, but 8 years ago Obama was NOT what we wanted either. But we lived with it, when did we cause riots and attack police and burn towns down? We educated people we got the vote we beat Hillary! I regret I said things about Obama I should not have, I was disrespectful at times and I repented for it! I always stood up for him when people talked of removing him, of attacking his family! I realized what my brothers and sisters now can’t see, just because others did it does not make it right! For 8 years I watched my country that I love get torn inside out by this leader who had no experience or qualifications to be President. Sound familiar?  Did he do all good? no, did he do all bad? no. He was not the president I wanted, but he was the President of the United States of America, and he was the one that God wanted!

President Donald Trump is the President of the United States whether you like it or not! He is YOUR President! MINISTERS HE is OUR LEADER! You should not disrespect the leader of the nation, Don’t attack his family! Pray for him, I did and I pray for him now. He is not perfect, far from it! but he is doing the best he knows how and all you do it attack him and family! How would YOU like it if they did it to you?

Take a few days off of face book and get with God, see what He say to do. Read the bible what does it tell you to do? Please stop wishing for his death! Do what we were told, get over it and give him a chance to help this country!

It’s Not My Time!

I know there are people reading this who are frustrated because doors are not opening up like you feel they should. Admit it, it bothers you! You have sat in the same position for years. You have been loyal,cheerful and hard working! You hear rumbling about promotion and you know it’s yours, then the name and it’s somebody else! You are crushed! I know because I have been there so many times! I kept going around and around the desert reliving it over and over. Then God showed me the secret, until you are able to rejoice for them also you won’t be ready to advance. That and the answer to the conspiracy keeping me from advancing, the answer.. there is NO conspiracy! It was NOT MY TIME yet. When it’s your time the doors will open and you will be promoted because it was time.

The Gain is Worth the Pain!

There are times in life where you are placed in position to learn. But, it has a price.

I had been in Maryland for 10 years and I had been an Associate Pastor and Ordained as a Bishop in the Church of God. I had just gotten married and I truly felt it was time to resume planting churches and move on.

God arranged for me to transfer to Hawaii. When I arrived I met with the overseer and told him what God had showed me. He Recommended that I go meet with the Hawaii Ministry to the Military Overseer. I clicked, he asked me to join the ministry as Youth Pastor and I accepted. We knew that eventually God would open the door for us to start a ministry but then in December 2013 a bombshell! Bishop had to transfer to the mainland and asked if I wanted to take the church over! I jumped at it thinking this was answered prayer. I would be put as the Hawaii MTTM Administrative Bishop also.


Here is the installation ceremony where we were placed in the Leadership for Hawaii.

Julie and I worked our tails off, I received a vision for the ministry! I contacted all the pastors and the state officials, I called MTTM and collaborated. For three months we worked countless hours and phone calls but we were ready! Or so I thought!

June was going to be the start month, we had over 100 committed to help. We had the base chapel and praise teams. Then out of the blue I get an email shutting it all down! For some unknown reason the plug was pulled on the work that had been going on for years. I was told they did not want a center and never explained why. We were crushed! I did not want ANYTHING to do with church or the CoG or the MTTM after that for along time. I wanted to reach out and let them know the pain but God told me to stop and wait.

I took the ministry God had trusted me with and for the second time under MTTM I merged it with another. Thank God for the small church in Hawaii that had the same heart and burden that I did. We ended up transferring a couple of years later back to the mainland.

I started Plant Ministries after this. It is a next step ministry for me. I am moving to Texas in July, I know that God has something for us. I am more mature now that a couple of years ago. I have learned to forgive and forget and move on. I have had a lot of pain in the ministry, more than my share.  I had been hurt by people who I considered Spiritual Father to me and it is VERY hard to get over. Please let me share I now hold no hard feelings. They must have felt that God had them do it. I only have issues with the unfeeling manner it happened. I gave everything and to have it ripped away and given to another minister was wrong and not Christian. It was great business but I thought I was in ministry. I love them still but I admit it is very tough for me to get over this one but I am trying. The hurt affected my ability to trust and commit to other opportunities.

I had been on staff of a ministry in MD that failed hard. The Pastor resigned and was removed from the denomination. I thought I would never be able to get passed that. God showed me that I HAVE to forgive and more importantly FORGET!  I have had the opportunity to do this and it has changed my ministry. I have had the chance to minister with friends who was in the same situation as me. They have helped me heal and grow and I thank them so much! Pastor David and Tracy Whittington are true representation of Christ! I was able to look my old pastor in the eye and get closure. Since then God has opened my spiritual eyes and ears, I am hearing stuff in the Spirit that is amazing and I am excited to share when God releases it. So the question is, is the gain  worth the Pain, YES! Stay with it and keep your eyes on God and don’t let the devil tell you to stop.

Titles are not the problem.

We can change our titles but won’t fix the problem. It does not matter the title we still have the scriptures that mention on being the husband of one wife to be an overseer. It has nothing to do with not getting a voice and keeping women down and being afraid of women as some have been screaming from the rooftops. It deals with who do we as a denomination follow. Do we follow the word of God as established for 5000 years or modern day theologians who bully with their education and try to rewrite the scriptures to spin what they feel is their enlightened view? And this all boils down to a group that want women to be leaders in church government to be equal with men, im sorry that goes against well established biblical doctrine, A position that is well established for over 2000 years and only recently been questioned. A position that God set up for HIS government, where man is the head and woman is helper. Where God is a MAN not a woman! And because popular culture says that’s wrong they say the church is wrong so it follows God is wrong and has to change! This has to stop, this takes up too much time during the GC and we can’t get to important decisions. The bitterness and rancor against those of us who sincerely disagree with this has to stop it gives open door to the devil to cause discord and hate. I can’t stand going to the GA anymore with the rude and outright disrespectful attitudes from brothers and sisters who you disagree with. Being mocked by pastors who don’t show Christian love. I’m sorry this went on so long but imo this has to be faced, NOW or it WILL destroy us.

Modern Judas

Yesterday the unthinkable happened. Gov. Nathan Deal of Georgia vetoed a bill that would have protected ministers from the homosexual lobby that wants to force us to perform gay weddings. The part that is disturbing is not that he had a disagreement he didn’t , he was bullied by money! He sold us out so not to loose movies and sports events. He says he’s a christian hmm I remember another supporter of Jesus until he was greedy and he too betrayed for money. The more things change the more they stay the same.

Another Year Another Season

I am sitting here sitting in Maryland and I realized that as a new corner is turned in the season in time another one changes in the spirit.  God has been so very very good to me ( apologies to Garret Morris and SNL) but he has and I am blown away how he can love one such as I.  As I get older and I see life changing, I see that although I have come so far from where I was in June of 1997 I still have so far to go.  

I can remember like it was yesterday, May 1997 I was lost, hurting done with church and the hypocrisy that I saw in it. Then God met me and nothing was the same.  I felt the presence of God like I had never done before.  I call myself a spiritual schizophrenic because I fight for what I don’t need and don’t know what I do need.  I asked God for power to spread his word, anointing to take his word to the earth.  I felt so new life never before.  I so long for that again!  So much has happened in the last 18 years. I am now retired from the military, married and getting ready to leave my dream job. 

God I meant it when I said here I am Lord send me. And he did, I went to Japan, Austrailia, Iraq, UAE, Dubie, PI, Thailand, Maryland, Hawaii and now Texas. Just when you think you know what God wants he throws a kink in it. God told me to pack and move to Hawaii, one month after I got married.  That was a fun and painful assignment. I learned so much about God and how to sit and listen and when to move and take authority. Then a new season.

I am looking forward to the new year and new challenges ahead. New and old friends. As I look ahead to my imminent move to Texas I anticipate what God will have me do. Start a church? Sit and just relax?  All ahead Flank 3!

Beware the wolves in Pastors cloathing

The bible warns us of watching for wolves and the dangers.  What about the dangers from the inside?  Well meaning ministers of the faith who have been decieved and are leading people astry. 

What is Hyper Grace? (A)”The term hyper-grace has been used to describe a new wave of teaching that emphasizes the grace of God to the exclusion of other vital teachings such as repentance and confession of sin. Hyper-grace teachers maintain that all sin, past, present, and future, has already been forgiven, so there is no need for a believer to ever confess it. Hyper-grace teaching says that, when God looks at us, He sees only a holy and righteous people. The conclusion of hyper-grace teaching is that we are not bound by Jesus’ teaching, even as we are not under the Law; that believers are not responsible for their sin; and that anyone who disagrees is a pharisaical legalist. In short, hyper-grace teachers “pervert the grace of our God into a license for immorality” (Jude 1:4) and flirt with antinomianism.

Jesus’ words to the seven churches in the book of Revelation strongly contradict the idea that Christians never need to repent. To the church at Ephesus, Jesus said, “Consider how far you have fallen! Repent and do the things you did at first. If you do not repent, I will come to you and remove your lampstand from its place” (Revelation 2:4). Jesus rebukes five of the seven churches and demands repentance from them (Revelation 2:4, 6, 20; 3:3, 15–19). Far from believers being unaccountable for their sin, they must answer to Jesus for their disobedience (see also 2 Corinthians 5:10).

Preachers of hyper-grace doctrine discount the Old Testament and the Ten Commandments as irrelevant to New Testament believers. They even teach that Jesus’ words spoken before His resurrection are part of the Old Covenant and no longer applicable to born-again believers. But is this true?

In Mark 13:31, Jesus said, “Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will never pass away.” Before Jesus ascended into heaven, He promised that the Father would send the Holy Spirit who “will teach you all things and will remind you of everything I have said to you” (John 14:26). If Jesus’ words are no longer applicable to believers, why would we need to be reminded of them?

Hyper-grace teaching is a good example of mixing truth with error. An emphasis on the beauty and power of God’s grace is good, but some teachers are neglecting what Paul called the “whole counsel of God” (Acts 20:27). For example, it is true that Christians have been forgiven by God. But that doesn’t mean we never have to confess our sin. James 5:16 says, “Confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed.” If we are to confess our sins to each other, why would we not need to confess them to God, since every sin is ultimately a sin against God (Psalm 51:4)?

Also, 1 John 1:9 gives clear instruction to believers about confessing sin. It begins with the word if: “If we confess our sin, He is faithful and just to forgive our sin and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.” This is a cause/effect statement implying that we cannot have the second without the first. As blood-bought children of God, we do not continue to confess our sin in order to be saved from hell. We confess and repent in order to reestablish an intimate relationship with our Father. We are “positionally righteous” but “practically sinful.”

To counter this argument, hyper-grace preachers deny that John’s letters were written to believers. However, 1 John 2:1 begins with this: “My dear children, I write this to you so that you will not sin. But if anybody does sin, we have an advocate with the Father—Jesus Christ, the Righteous One.” John is clearly writing to believers whom he personally knew. He indicates that his believing friends may indeed sin, and that, when they do, they need to confess it.

Hyper-grace preachers also claim the Holy Spirit will never convict Christians of their sin. Mature Christians should recognize this fallacy right away. Every disciple of Christ has felt the overwhelming conviction of the Holy Spirit when he or she has sinned. Jesus calls the Holy Spirit “the Spirit of Truth” (John 15:26). Truth, by its very definition, will not tolerate anything false. When the Spirit of Truth abides in a believing heart (1 Corinthians 6:19), He brings conviction about anything that is not truth.

In summary, much of what the hyper-grace preachers teach is valid. We are indeed saved by grace, not our works (Ephesians 2:8–9). And God’s grace is marvelous, great, and free (1 Timothy 1:14). However, hyper-grace teaching is out of proportion to the rest of Scripture. Any time one doctrine is emphasized to the exclusion of the rest, we fall into error because we fail to “correctly handle” the Word (2 Timothy 2:15).

Jesus was full of both “grace and truth” (John 1:14). The two are in delicate balance, and a tip to either side can result in a false gospel. We must always compare any new teaching with the “whole counsel of God” and learn to disregard anything that veers even slightly from the truth (1 John 4:1).”

Wow!  And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie: How much clearer do we need to be?  Please study and pray and be prepared to show the light of the word on these that are trapped in this lie. 

God wants everyone to be saved and be with him, but to do this we have to recognize the need of his salvation, that is why this is so dangrous.
